In recent years, some young parents have been noticed around the world. This kind of parent is known as a Teenage Parent.

Vibeke Skofterud – Norway – Age: 15 – Baby: Emma Kristine

At 15, she gave birth to her daughter Emma Kristine with her boyfriend. Vibeke is a former cross-country skier who was born in Mandal, Norway on August 26, 1984. She has competed in four Olympics between 2002 and 2014.

Vibeke Skofterud is an outstanding athlete in the Norwegian team. She won the gold medal in Düsseldorf and in Sapporo and won bronze in Vancouver. She won 20 individual medals at the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, making her second behind Marit Bjørgen for the all-time rankings.

Nahom Mesfin – Ethiopia – Age: 15 – Baby: Dinah

At 15, she gave birth to her daughter Dinah with her boyfriend. Nahom Mesfin was born on the 24th December 1999 in Lalibela, Ethiopia. She is a middle-distance runner who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Nahom also won two gold medals (in 1500 and 3000 metres) at the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships.

Tang Yanmei – China – Age: 15- Baby: Xiao Juhua

At 15, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Tang Yanmei was born on the 27th May 2000 in Neijiang, Sichuan Province, China. She is a Chinese shooter who won the 2014 ISSF 10m Air Pistol Women Junior World Championship.

Antonelliana Çakirpaloglu – Albania – Age: 16- Baby: Nevres Jasmina

At 16, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. The family of this teenager is well known in Belgium because the parents of this teenager, Artan Antoneljana and Vlera Cakirpaloglua were known as the founders of “Komisioni Shqiptar”, a political party in Belgium.

Nicole Gerbase-Burhans – Jamaica – Age: 15- Baby: Nia

At 15, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Nicole Gerbase-Burhans was born on July 22, 2002 in Kingston, Jamaica. She won the double gold at Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa and became the first Jamaican woman to win a track event at World Youth Championships.

Alima Traore – Mali – Age: 16- Baby: Adama

At 16, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Alima Traore was born on the 29th July 1999 in Bamako, Mali. She is a hurdler who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In the 2015 World Championships held in Beijing, China Traore set a new national record of 54.40 seconds in 400m hurdles.

At 15, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Diana was born on the 7th of May 2000 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is a Portuguese épée fencer and twice junior world champion (in 2014 and 2015).

Anna Tatishvili – Georgia – Age: 16- Baby: Elizabeta

At 16, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Tatiashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia on 5 December 1999. She is a Georgian tennis player who reached her highest junior ranking of number 14 on 30 December 2015.

Rajaa Bensaidi – Morocco – Age: 13- Baby: Najma

At 13, she gave birth to her daughter with her boyfriend. Bensaidi was born in Casablanca, Morocco on February 2, 2002. She is a Moroccan tennis player and represented her country in many junior international tournaments.
