During Ages 5 To 7

During this age, you can let your child improve their motor skills by activities like dancing, swimming, skating, etc. This is the age where they can focus more on extracurricular works. Swimming would improve their stamina and provide flexibility. This is very beneficial for them. Work more to enhance their agility. Always encourage them to be the best and never quit. They might not prefer exercising more. Nevertheless, parents need to boost the kids to overcome their laziness for effective physical development.

Improving Motor Skills- Physical Development

Parents need to keep in mind about all the changes that their child undergoes during the growth period. They should always be aware of any new habit that the kid is indulging in. After a certain age, do not spoon-feed them. Spoon feeding is a gesture of love and care; but if it doesn’t stop at the correct time, it can affect the child adversely. The child will become highly dependent to be fed. He or she might cultivate this habit and will not eat unless any support is given to them. Holding the cutlery, eating food, would take their hand and arms stay balanced. Ask them to brush their teeth on their own. These little things would be greater help once they are grown up.

Many factors affect and stimulate the physical growth of a child. The development of a child does not only intricate itself by indulging in physical activities. If the brain signals the body to move and accomplish something, the child gets the urge to do so. The motor skills of a child are affected greatly by culture.
