Seeing another classmate cry in playgroup leads the fellow mates to empathize with him. A teacher’s job here is to repeat this behavior every time. When a child sees this repeatedly in baby development stages, it is natural to show empathy for him. At times there are chances that a baby may not relate empathy. For instance, when a child unknowingly destroys his friend’s toys, he is unaware of the damage. Whereas another friend comes and helps to repair the damaged toy. This is because he felt it casual. The idea of perception is important here. Having exposure to constant empathy will guide him/her to being more empathetic towards fellow beings.

Teaching gestures to toddlers are helpful to confirm them. These gestures also make them sense and reflect the same in their behavior. In the ages of 2 and above different approach is needed in baby development stages. As by now, a baby understands many gestures, it is easy. You must be very kind to them. This further includes gestures like a hug, back-patting and letting them know how you feel. This will help them to relate problems and generate empathy. Teach them to help others who look in distress. Being able to show more empathy will gain more love in return. Teach them words related to emotions. Also, show the faces of these emotions.
